Beautiful and perfect example of Douro, with powerful fruit in the front and an elegant finish with no harsh tannins. A great wine. This wine went perfectly with Greek lamb souvlaki. Expensive but worth it. And so fresh after 18 years.

GL Portugal tasting 2/15/17. Nose with violets and savoriness that seemed to have opened up with time. At first more fruit driven. Palate that's really complex and yummy. More complex than'13 which suffered from a heat wave. 60% new oak and. Only 48 bottles left!
