This wine had a very promising nose, but comes across as a bit underripe on the palate. Would be interested in other vintages though.

Aug 13th, 2014Notable tannins but unoaked - unusual combination. Pairs well with food as it has full flavor without overpowering. Had with salt crusted salmon, Romano beans, and arugula/ radicchio salad. Excellent pairing. Had a second time with chicken piri-piri. I'm upping the rating based on how it paired with the spicier food - along with oven roasted sweet potatoes. This is a very smooth wine with a strong backbone.
