This is one of my favorite categories of wine... #GreatBangForYourBuck This 2009 #VinhoTinto from the #Douro region of #Portugal is awesome👏👏👏. Ripe Dark Cherry, Blackberry & Plum with savory herbal components, smokey & Cinnamon, Clove & bBlack Pepper spices. It has a strong acidity and a nice Minerality to it too. The wine is layered with Flavors and extremely well balanced. I love when I find a wine with some age on it that also has a lower price tag and is actually #EnPointe 👍❤️. Drink sooner than later this is 2012 almond and a bit of oxidation

This wine has nice density, richness, and complexity. Nice deep fruit and supple tannins make it an easy drinker.

3 grape blend. Touriga Franca, Touriga National and Tinta Roriz…dry and medium body

Touring Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional : all cream

On the lighter side for a Douro. High toned red fruit, leather, tannins high acid. Medium finish. Alcohol was noticeable, even if lower than expected.

Nice light drinking red with good body, at great value. Look forward to exploring more of the Douro.
