Nice Portuguese red that would please even the die-hardest (is this a term?) Cali Cab drinkers. Big, juicy nose and body of sweet blackberry fruit, touch of sulfury smoke on the nose, and a nice balancing acidity. Great wine with burgers!

A very good, solid red wine with no obvious flaws. Not exceptional or elegant but very enjoyable with grilled meats, with smoky red fruit overtones and plenty of balanced backbone. Good palate feel, finish and richness of fruit. Good value. Evidence that Portuguese reds are coming of age.
