Winemaker Rudy was very generous along with his two winery dogs Miles and Billy in touring us in their vineyard planted on top of a quartz reef which adds more minerality to the sparkling. And the sparkling was a hedge to the just in case our Pinot suck scenario. Pinot didn't suck and the unique terroir from the terraces formed by two continental plates colliding has great potential. It will be great but will take some time
