Melanson Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Every now and then you get a wine that grabs your attention. This bottle does just that. Can smell it four foot away from the decanter-tar and exotic spice whiff of asphalt, hint of green that blows off. So balanced nothing jumps out on the palate. Fresh and bright on the palate-Currant, licorice, graphite and loamy earth envelope the palate. Finish gives hints of French oak then tames with soft creasing tannins. Wonderful!

Nice fruit, very extracted but very light in color (bright red rim with darker core). Oak dominant now but may show well in a few years.

Rock pile zin on the nose and Russian river Pinot on the nose. I don't understand this wine. For me it has no cabernetness going on

Absolutely spectacular bottle. Incredibly elegant packed full of black jammy fruit and a gorgeous finish.

Very nice, smooth drinking wine. With age will be a real spectacular. At least a 93. Enjoy it if you can find it.

This is a really cool wine. Red fruit with a cherry and some sweetness. I really like it. It is full of flavored and spices.

This is really fantastic. Gorgeous, deep Cabernet flavors. I've been really impressed by 2011s from Pritchard Hill.
