Superb bold fruit to start with along with a smooth finish. Powerful mouthful. Hard to put away. I wanted more.

A beautifully layered bold Syrah. Blackberry, black cherry, smoked meats and leather on the nose. The tannins are balanced with a decent amount of dryness that leaves your mouth watering. Hints of licorice and dark red fruits on the pallet. A nice long finish with some soft earthiness that doesn't hide the black fruit. A great wine on its on and it holds up against spicy food or a salad with a great vinaigrette. My better half picked a winner, as usual.

Got the tip for this from Wine Spectator when looking for new Syrahs. This is the '12 and very good. Deep color, great body. Delicious treat with amazing BBQ'd ribs tonight.
