It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a gorgeous one.
Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, herbs, tobacco, light metals and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and fat legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, dried figs, cedar, licorice, vanilla, spices, tobacco and black coffee.
Long finish with round tannins and cherries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Still very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature, but already drinking very nicely.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 3 hours of airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years, with good potential to become a 95+ point wine.
Elegant, rich and fruit forward. Iron fist in a velvet glove. Love that.
Grapes come from the Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A tiny production of only 1 barrel made.
