Syrah showing through on this one. I would have guessed the blend was the opposite. Finish is a little bitter for my tastes.

Prospect 772 ‘The Brat’ Sierra Foothills 2011: Rich texture. Round tannins. Bold flavors of dark fruit with a smooth spice finish. A robust Californian Rhône red blend consisting of 75% Grenache/25% Syrah that opened up nicely after 30 mins! Cheers🍷

I bought a bunch of prospect 772 wines & have never had a “bad bottle”. Taken together, the 772 wines do “blend” or “overlap” a bit. But alone, they are all great Rhône styled treats. 12yrs & strong pepper, black cherry, cassis flavors.

Decent but starting to lose fruit. Still has a nice, soft strawberry jammy finish but not like 3-4yrs ago.

Used to think there was a little too much oak but not the case this time. Rich grenache dominated blend. Brat named after grenache since it’s a temperamental grape.

My favorite Brat so far. This wine has gotten top 100 wine by wine spectator in the past. Grenache syrah blend.
