Black Tie Charlie California Petite Sirah Syrah
Full bodied almost purple in color. Not bad but to jammy for me on the first day. It balanced out a little bit on the second day. Almost tasted like a Zinfandel. Broght at Connetta in Modesto.

Jan 21st, 2021**not the Black Tie*** This is the pre-release of the 100% petite sirah from Livermore. It’s a mellow 15.8% ha. Big inky wine. From casa de vinas vineyard on the eastern side of livermore which is owned by Julio Covarrubias (senior vineyard manager at wente). Some great wines coming out of this valley floor vineyard (mckahn, nottingham wineries).

Nov 26th, 2019These two varietals would not lead you to believe how jammy and full of fruit this wine is...yummy with or without food!

Feb 1st, 2019Arrived & opened,
All 3 are in the Crowd Pleaser category to me, the instigator which is 100% syrah is probably the one that will hold up the longest, its a little tighter with not much of a finish at this time, not as sweet as the other two,
For a an average price of $35.00 these will work great for an everyday wine especially for non wino parties.
i.e # Austin hope, Micheal David & Venge Scouts Honor.
I’ll take these over those, but don’t confuse these with Top, Fulldraw, Booker, Saxum, Law Estates. Different category of wine.
All 15.5 to 15.8 abv

Petite sirah/syrah flight. Love this blend.
The fact that this sub-30 dollar wine holds up against the other more expensive 3 says something. By far the most aromatic. Big big wine. Half sierra foothills syrah (estate which goes into the brawler) and half livermore petite sirah (down the street from my place). Previous vintages have gotten 92-94 pts wine spectator/wine enthusiast. Not bad for a 27 dollar wine.

Trying this next to the 2015, it is very approachable. The 15 has a little more acid and needs to settle down. Big big big wine for 27 bucks that delivers.
