Dark and juicy. Currants, blackberry, cherry, and mocha. Delicious now, but likely to improve with more cellaring.

2013 - Luscious, black fruit, white pepper, cassis bouquet; good body with tannic, medium long finish; very good; hope to find more at Last Bottle; definitely worth revisiting.

Dark and brooding in the glass, there are cherry accents but this wine is almost black. And beautiful. Plenty of smoke, vanilla, dark fruit, and some spice on the nose. Big, dense stuff. Almost too big like a lot of other Napa Cabs but doesn’t cross the line into overblown and hot. There is refinement and class going on here. Full bodied with a silky mouthfeel and gobs of ripe fruit. More green earth than expected on the palate, because of the addition of the Cabernet Franc. Smoked meat, black cherries, plums, and cedar on the palate. A little more vanilla on the medium finish takes us on home.
