Prieurs de St-Julien
Côtes-du-Rhône Red Rhone Blend

Right out of the bottle, a nice and light nose of Pinot Noir, with cherries and strawberry. A little closed up on the palate, some harsh tannins. I poured it to the leg of lamb roast and kept one glass that was great after one hour. It smells more like a rhone baby now, darker, less fruity. Medium-bodied, soft tannins, and an acidity that mixes great with the steely minerality on the tip of the tongue. Excellent value!

April 2015 Altura wine club- raspberry, cherry and menthol aromas are predominant, followed by a combo of savory, peppery and baking spice. Soft and silky tannins and great acidity. Great with rosemary roasted chicken (dark meat).
