Vaucoupin Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Classic higher end Chablis. Great deal for $20. Could easily be $40.

Golden apple, pear, nice cut of citrus, spring flowers, and hint of hay fill a charming nose. The palate is much more rounded than I expected, with very good texture, though I would like the acidity a bit sharper. The long oyster shell saline finish is unmistakably Chablis.
