This banner vintage offers ripe mountain fruit with blackberry, blackcurrants and notes of chocolate and forrest floor. Despite its power and youth the tannins are not overly drying. Hope I have the patience to see how my other bottles develop over the next decade. Robert Parker gave it 100 points and who am I to disagree?

2012 Pride Reserve Cabernet. Big, lush, heady stuff. If I didn't know all the wines were cabs, I might have guessed Syrah. Ripe black fruits. Decent finish. The night's #3.
