My last bottle unfortunately. See previous notes from 74 weeks ago and 130 weeks ago. Mid yellow in colour. Obvious parrafin/kerosene on the nose. On the palate ripe grapefruit, nectarine and a little chalkiness. Only 10.2%ABV but not overly sweet. Low acid. Drinking at its peak. Riesling in Tasmania is excellent and flies under the radar to an extent.

Mid Lemon to pale gold in colour. Aromas of dried herbs, daisies, lime, and quince. On the palate Citrus, grapefruit and quince. Off dry with only 10.2 % ABV. Amazing quality - superb. Contrary to prior notes no kerosene. This is the Tasmanian project of Melbourne barrister, Greg Melick, hence the name and illustration. Must source more of this.

Have posted previous tasting notes on this wine and vintage. Owned by Melbourne barrister Greg Melick. A couple of years ago I remember banter between @TheSkip and @Bill Bender about the name. If Bill ever becomes a winemaker he can’t take Pressing Matters as already spoken for. This was a stellar Riesling, one of the best for a while. Mid Lemon in colour with absolute clarity. Lime and Lemon flavours with plenty of acidity. Incredible intensity. A beautiful dry Riesling from the Coal River in Tasmania, cruising at 12 years with more life ahead. Traces of paraffin/kerosene on the nose.

Pale Gold. Pressing Matters - a great name for owner and Senior Counsel, Greg Melick. The R9 means 9 gms of residual sugar which ends up as a low 10.2% Alc. Aromas ofLime and Kerosene with a hint of Ginger. Cleansing Acidity with notes of Honey. A very good aged Riesling.

The R9 refers to 9 grams of residual sugar. They have 3 other grades R0 super dry; R69 sweet spatlese style and R139 Auslese dessert style. Pale gold with a touch of green. Floral faint hint of Rose petals and paraffin. Clean and long. Honeyed notes. Plenty of natural acidity. Will live for years. 10.2% Alc.

High RS balanced with clean acid makes for great drinking.
Finishes dry.
