Bright ruby, medium plus concentration, extraction, and viscosity. Sweet and savory on the nose. Iodine and ripe to overripe blue and black berries. Leather, game, sweat, and dust. Medium acid, tight tannins. 50/50 new/used French barriques. A blend of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Cab Sauv.

Nose is lovely. Vanilla bean, sweet rose, ripe dark fruits, juicy black plum, blackberry marmalade, touch of pine sap and dark chocolate. Lush tannins, but still there, with good acidity down the side of the tongue. There’s black cherry, some leather, dark chocolate, roses, a bit of lavender, and ripe black plum. It’s quite good. Im interested to see where a few more years would take it.
