Outstanding! Love this. This is without a doubt the best Syrah I have had from Washington state. Black fruits, cottonwood, smells a bit like BlackBerry pie and dried earth and raisenettes...some gamey meat like qualities too, like venison. Cherry and dust, sawdust. On the palate flat black, with juicy heat and smokey spice. Very dry finish.

Nice story on the back. Bill Powers seemed like a cool dude. Color is lovely ruby red. Nose is fruity and with the essence of cold fighting syrups. Hint of WA sagebrush. Flavors are nice. Acids and bright berry fruits come through. Plenty of tannin. Bit of licorice and the bitterness in apple skins. Not dramatic, but tasty with some true to Syrah flavors. Certainly a nice choice for the low cost WA Syrah.

Was not what I'd thought it be, but for $15 shame on me for having high hopes! On the nose you get dark fruit, leather, and some cedar. Wine is pretty balanced but never uncovered a lot, very tannic as well.

Easy weekday drinking, pairs well with cheese & crackers (what wine doesn't?).
