Much better the second time. Dark purple in the glass, and harboring vegetal aromas, black tea leaf, cracked black pepper, and cherry syrup on the nose. The pallet was slightly off balance, showing more acidity, and exhibiting notes of stewed cherry, mineral, oak spice, nutmeg, and a smooth finish. Pairs well with meats.

Fruit forward but dry, very even tempered, easy to drink with a juicy burger.

Not as robust as the gran reserve ($14) , but still a well-rounded cab, great for Wednesday drinking. Will recommend with cheese and/or light meats. $9.00.

Good carmenere, more on the dark fruits with more subtle green notes. (I like my carmeneres greener). Better aerated.
