I have to admit, this go around is an improvement from the last time I had tried a bottle of the 2012. Floral and herbaceous on the nose, following a distinct zingy white pepper. The pallet exhibits tart raspberry jam notes, underripe strawberries, cloves, black tea, minerals, and a gripping finishing tannin. For sub $15, this is a pretty flavorful wine coming out of the Bio Bio Valley. Drink now through 2022.

Mar 5th, 2016Nice wine with grilled hamburgers with a kick to them, as a Pinot noir it should not have held up to this meal, but it did and it was really nice. Not a soft Pinot, but medium body with earth tones and dark fruit
