Porta Dante
Prosecco
We’re on the ‘wine down to Christmas’ so it’s really only right to pop a few bottles of bubbly. I received this sample of Porte Dante Non-Vintage Prosecco to try, and I must admit it went down pretty well. Both Mr. Spittoon and myself enjoyed it. It sells for $17 at Dan Murphy’s and BWS.
In the glass it’s a mesmerising yellow Milky Way of bubbles. On the nose plentiful orchard fruit and crisp grapefruit stand out for me. While in the mouth it has a smooth texture with custard apples, lemon and a hint of vanilla enticing me back for another sip. Cost-effective and it’s an easy-drinking, refreshing sparkling wine.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes

I've been craving bubbles lately, so I grabbed this bottle of Prosecco for $14 from Dan Murphy's recently.
It's a shimmery lemon and lime colour on the eye with a distinct smell of old fashioned lemonade and a nip of toffee apple. As expected for a Prosecco, the palate is vibrant, racy and refreshing. It reminded me of citrus sorbet. Crisp, easy-drinking and great value.
