Estate Grown Monticello Petit Verdot

Very good wine, acidic and high tannins. Not as bold on the dark fruit but decent enough for a grape of this kind from VA.

VA Monticello Petit Verdot against a Cali Napa Valley Cab.
Pairing: American Wagyu Strip, Home Fries, Mushroom Ron Zacapa 23 glaze.
As much as I love my Napa Cabs, the edge went to the PV. 93 - 92.

Black and blue fruits, cigar box, tight long finish

Napa Valley of the East. Big, bold, delicious. Virginia knows Petit Verdot.

Very full body Petit.

Nice VA wine

Full body. Dark color and a deep nose. Silky in the mouth with light tannins and nice acidity. Smooth finish. Good fruit and complexity.

Easily one of the best wines from '11 to come out of Virginia. Delicious and smooth. Berries and pepper on the nose; dark fruits and espresso on the palate.
