Very nice Sangiovese and Syrah 80-20 blend, 2013, perfect for the better to best Super Tuscan (?) niche. Dark plum red but no big tannins, very soft palate, carefully balanced and almost elegant smoothness...nice aroma and dry, dark berry flavor with medium+ body ...drinkable with anything - a wine for all. My highest compliment...may buy again.

Excellent value at TJ’s . A little jamey with notes of plum, cherry, chocolate & a hint of young oak. A 2013 that has aged well. I’m a fan of the more mature ones like this. Will definitely keep one in stock at this price!

May 7th, 20202013 Toscanini Sangiovese-Syrah blend, 80-20...a perfect blend. This is a refined wine from the estate Castellani family near the Tuscan coast. Aged in barriques for 12 months obviously adding to the subtle but deep berry full flavor. Not to be confused with the great Castellari Tuscan wines but still an excellent blend, full-bodied for a blend with dark red berry overtones .... overall very smooth, a mouthful of dark red Italian vino. Will buy again.
