Poderi Luigi Einaudi
Dolcetto di Dogliani
Bright and juicy but still with medium to strong tannins. Medium body. Better with food. At $18 this is a very value wine.

Oct 8th, 2019Session 3 of Wine Essentials One at the Institute of Culinary Education Center for Wine Studies.
A Dolcetto from a famed Piedmont producer. This has a bright red color that makes it appear young. On the nose are floral aromas of red fruit, fresh tomato, and lighter berries (especially blackberry and plum). The wine is tart, with scraping tannins contrasting a fresh acidity, and flavors of sour cherry and underripe berries. It does not have a long finish. A pleasant Beaujolais-like red that is meant to be consumed young.
