Another Wednesday Wine Committee in the books. Great hosting by @Bill Makens . 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine all served blind.
Last time I had this, it was about two and a half years ago and I thought it was killer...my mind hasn’t changed! I never see this stuff. Beautiful super Tuscan. Dusty and herbal up front with earthy blackberries, cherries and espresso followed by fig, black cherry compote and cedar at the finish. Still in a great drinking window. I called this late ‘00s/2010 Sonoma Cab.

Sep 5th, 2019Never even heard of or seen this before. Super Tuscan. The end of the cork was so dark purple that it was almost black! Not expecting that from a ST at all. More black fruit dominant on the nose than the Tignanello that was tried alongside it. Heavier on the palate too. Small spice and plum on the finish. Excellent find Bill!

Apr 26th, 2017Suggested by the sommelier to go with my filet. A super Tuscan that rivals the big guns - Sassicaia, Orneillaia, or Ca' Marcanda. Delicious!
