Poderi Marini Elaphe 2016: Bold. Dry. Robust. A beautiful, dark color red blend of Calabrian Aglianico & Magliocco yielding great fresh black fruit flavors, blueberry, oak, leather & earth. I rarely have Calabrese wine, especially reds. Leathery. Full bodied. Tobacco. Finish is a bit on the spicy side. Love the label... 🐍

Appearance: dark, purple coloured, clear.
Nose: medium intensity, youthful, with green pepper, raspberry, funk.
Taste: off-dry, heavy bodied, fresh acidity, moderate dry tannins with mild notes of green pepper, leather, smoke, and a short finish.
