Popped and poured; no formal notes. The “Extra Quality” is a silly, old-school sounding designation…but this is sort of an old-school style of Champagne. It was a little “meh” on the first pour; unwilling to show much. However, with some air it opened up and displayed a pleasant balance of fruit and autolytic character. Works a little better with food than an aperitif. Disgorged May of 2022

Nice aroma. Palate is thin. This is lean and overly acidic to my taste.

20% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 40% Chardonnay.

This is a 2011 base wine which was disgorged in April of 2017.

Notes forthcoming...

24hr Update: Nose has just-baked bread, crushed walnut, oxidized pear, orange peel and moist limestone. Palate has zingy pear acidity, bitter citrus, toasted brioche and a long minerally finish. Bubbles have held strong after one day.

Vibrant, energetic, and complex with brioche/lemony finish.

Lovely, crisp, lighter citrusy style but with enough depth and yeasty notes to keep things interesting.

El más flojito de toda la cata, un poco fofo y con el carbónico muy alto, un poco bruto...

Delicate, refreshing & elegant - perfect for pairing with briny oysters & other creatures from the sea!

Delicious celebratory Champagne for gently coming off of a 21-day cleanse sans alcohol (amongst many other things as well). On the dense, smoked honey side of things with bruised pome fruit filling the mid. Nice acid and persistence of pear flesh and spice on the finish.
