The blackcurrant of the Syrah comes out strongly, but the tannic edge gets quashed by the Viognier.

A successful blend with Viognier. Red fruit dominant with black pepper and sweet spices, bushy and floral with peach and tropical fruit as well as some mulberries. Viognier added complexity and freshness to this wine. Quality tannin, supple yet standing, medium acidity with mediocre finish. Oak could be detected on the palate. 88points. Drink now or in the following year. Tasted in Bj 12.7
