Feb 9th, 2019Old paper, leather and steely nose... quite odd for a relatively young wine. Smoke. High acid high tannin, but oddly just a lot of smoke and a shadow of blackcurrant. Good menthol though. I see what they're doing, but it needs more fruit by a long shot, the finish is short on that count. Too much oak? This isn't far off though, worth trying the 2022 vintage I'll bet.
