2011. Petroleum, dusty earth and balsamic notes on the palate. Lovely balance of dark earthy fruit mixed with sweet cherry notes and graphite.

Had this Brunello at a wonderful rustic lunch at this ultra small biodynamic winery and after tasting at home, glad to see my first impressions of this outstanding wine were not overly romanticized. Excellent medium-to-full bodied wine with a lot of character and silky tannins with sustained finish. Great with flavorful lentils and meat pizza as well as prosciutto and cheese. Need to figure out how to get more of this great hooch.
