If you are a fan of Cab Franc—I am—this bottling is worth a try. A tad nondescript at the front end but gives way to a mid-palate hint of dark fruit then finishes off with a dollop of Sichuan pepper and bay leaves. An unusual Chinon on opening. Let’s see where we land in 24 hours. (Next day...pretty much where we started.)
