Pierre-Henri Morel
Signargues Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhône Blend

Rhubarb pie - windowsill cooling - a nice nose.
Dense, luscious and inviting fruit here. Raspberry coolie - dense Pom, and some twig and branch action. A lot more going as the wine warms from cellar temp.
This is.CDP for the price of a Rhone. Gorgeous.

Wafts of strawberry salt water taffy.
Medium bodied with finesse, Thai basil, gravel, pomegranate pithe, a hint of navel orange zest.
The tannins and acidity work wonderful together, a balance of a really great, well rounded wine for the price.

First glass was very rustic. Cedar, dried leaves, and wet forest floor. Second glass was much more open. Showed dark fruit and much more elegant mouthfeel.

Happy thanksgiving! No Pinot noir around so figured this 50% Grenache blend would pair well with turkey and fixins’

Drinkable, but a little heavy. Probably wouldn’t buy again

Winery direct gamble from Total Wine, which I never trust. But when from the southern Rhône and priced the same as Famille Perrin I figure why not take a shot. This is racy, the bitter but bright fruit you expect, with a little black pepper that you might not. A fine table red.
