Gorgeous high-toned aromatics that keep out of overt VA territory: rose & cherry. Over a serious backdrop of tar and gravel, the aromatics I associate with southern Burgundy. This is a playful wine grounded in serious land and maintains transparency. I must say, I'm seriously impressed.
