Seemed higher in alcohol than the others and definitely some heat on the nose. Cassis, beef, dark cherry. Power. Still young. Decant and enjoy.

Jun 6th, 2017Phil did a lot with this wine considering the vintage. No dill as I've seen from many '98s. Very solid wine, coffee grounds, stewed fig. Fully evolved and less depth than the rest of the vertical.
