2014 Phantom Bay Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is from Marlborough but has a different nose. Doesn't have that grassy herbaceous nose, but instead more of a mineral melon nose. A very crisp clean ever so slight citrus on the tongue. This would be good for those that aren't into that gnarly grassy Sauv Blanc!

Smells a little barnyardish with the herbaceous as a side note. A. Very grassy taste with a slight acidity. Taste better than it smells.

Really good. Reminds me of my favorite Sauv that is no longer available in my area.

Gives a wet mouthfeel. Not trash, not a treasure. Prime Walmart pickup, complements Ruffles chips real good. Never again, but I don't regret it.

This was a cheap ($7) Walmart find; something I could use for cooking and drinking. The nose is fairly solid, all the notes you'd expect from a NZ sauv blanc. The palette, while certainly drinkable, was a touch bland and just kind of tasted cheap. Clearly the term "reserve" was used loosely here.

Really liked this wine. Went down smooth, not too sweet, not too tart.

This is a solid cab for a great price. Got this at Wally World for $10. Cheesy description in the label, but could drink all night.
