Roses and dark brambles. Quite intense and very pure. Whiffs of tobacco and a real purity of fruit. Little tang of acidity on the finish with dried orange rind. Still profound

The wine was good. But the question looms weather this was a fake or genuine bottle from the estate in 1949... The cork, label, bottle all seemed to be authintic but the house that procured this bottle was tied to Rudy and his fakery... Needless to say opening this was an adventure. This is why making your bottle, packaging and cork unique and hard to copy is so important... Again the wine inside was great and we had one hell of a good night in OKC with the thirst crew!

Heavily oxidized and already fell apart. But 10/10 for my first sip of Petrus. What An Experience. (Vintage: 1948).
