Kékfrankos is the grape, and according to my guide for the evening, it’s similar to Blaufränkisch from Austria. This has really soft red berries on the nose, but the taste is something more bracing...meat and firewood. The craftsmanship is clearly there, and I like it, I’m just not in love.
