Mid yellow in colour. Yellow flowers on the nose along with melon and mandarin peel. Toasty notes. Amazingly fresh for its age. No sign of kerosene or petrol. Those same mandarin notes extend through to the palate with ripe grapefruit and Medium minus acid. The Show record of this wine is unsurprisingly 7 Gold Medals and 4 Trophies. My last bottle. Peter Lehmann had released 95 dozen 6 years ago after it had spent 15 years in Peter Lehmanns cellars. A brilliant aged Riesling.

Bright yellow in colour. Aromas of white flowers, toast, flint and kerosene. Traces of lime on the palate with a soapy texture - acid is largely resolved. This is why one ages dry Australian Riesling. Magnificent. The lime juice backbone when it was young is still there. 2002 in the Eden Valley was one of the coolest on record meaning long hang time and it has produced this exquisite long living Riesling. Luckily I have one left.

Mid Gold in colour. What a treat - a 15 Year old Riesling from the Eden Valley with fresh Pacific Oysters. Aromas of Florist Shop Herbs and Talc. Surprisingly low Kero. On the palate Lime juice Minerality and a touch of stone fruit. Amazingly fresh for its age with an acid finish. Will go another 5 years and be a 20 year Riesling. The perfect Oyster wine.
