Deep Ruby/ purple in color, with a purplish rim.
Earthy and fruity on the nose with bell peppers, blackberries, plums, wood, smoke, dust, sweet cherries, earth, vanilla, spices and peppercorn.
Full-bodied, but not bold, with medium plus acidity.
On the palate, blackberries, plums, cherries, raspberries, oak, vanilla, earth, tobacco, beef jerky, licorice, vegetables, spices, light cloves and black pepper.
Medium Plus on the finish, with nice tannins and sour cherries.
A nice, everyday Merlot from Chile. Good structure and enough complexity to enjoy it by itself, yet not fully balanced. Good with hearty foods, as well, like stews.
I enjoyed it with a platter of meats and cheeses.
Would really benefit from an hour in a decanter, but not bad right out of the bottle.
13% alcohol by volume.

Amazing deal, only $5.95 yet still good. 13.5% alcohol, good taste. Dry, fuller bodied easy on the bank wine for hanging out with your cheap friends. ;)

Starts with a deep, fruity berry tone and carries a subtle undertone of smoky oak. A nice medium body with light tannins and pleasant acidity.

A great Merlot for the price! I was shocked when my friend told me she purchased it for $6ish at Kroger's. Delish!
