Pellet Estate Petaluma Gap Sunchase Vineyard Unoaked Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, California

Light yellow in color with a golden hue.

Fruity nose of citrus, lemons, apples, pears, light spices, light wood, earth, light herbs and white pepper.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with limes, light grapefruits, citrus, light peaches, light wood, earth, herbs and white pepper.

Nice finish with spices and limes.

This is a very tasty Chardonnay from Sonoma County. Easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel. Nicely balanced with a tangy finish.

Good right out of the bottle, and after 60 minutes of airtime it shows spicy notes.

This Single Vineyard feels like a fruity white Burgundy. A good quality wine.

Not sure why, but I definitely get light wood notes both on the nose and palate. Interesting and delicious.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with grilled salmon.

Grapes are grown at over 1,000 feet of elevation on rocky clay soil. Aged in stainless steel for 8 months. Only 276 cases produced.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.
