Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, blackberries, cooked cherries, figs, raisins, chocolates, cedar, licorice, coffee, cola, mediterranean spices, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, herbs and black pepper.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward with black plums, cooked cherries, blackberries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, spices, herbs, cola, light earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Grenache based blend from Paso Robles. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant, nicely balanced and very complex, especially on the nose. Smooth and and powerful.
The nose feels like a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, which is so interesting.
Good right out of the bottle and better with some air time, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
I had this vintage over a year ago, and it is drinking even better now.
A great sipping wine that also paired nicely with my charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 75% Grenache, 18% Mourvedre and 7% Syrah. Aged in (40% new) Slovenian Oak barrels for 18 months. Unfined and unfiltered.

Feels like a New World red, with a twist of Southern Rhone. Interesting stuff. Fruit forward and complex
