Dark fruits scents give way to a moderately acidic mouthfeel that has bramble and tobacco flavors. Medium body moderate tannin. This is a rather big wine that pairs well with steak and potatoes.

Jul 30th, 2016V12. Get a bowl, add black cherries, blackberries, a few blueberries. Smash. Be generous with black pepper. Sprinkle a little nutmeg or similar baking spice. Now bring on the BBQ ribs!

2012 vintage. Baked black cherry, mullberry pie, blueberry and boysenberry jam, toasted coconut, vanilla, toasted pecans, brown sugar, violets. Lots of flavor going on, moderate to heavy toast on the barrels, richness kept in check with a more elegant mouthfeel and streak of acidity. Definitely a good winter wine.

Jan 6th, 2016Luscious to taste. Vanilla creamy on the tongue, fruity on the palatte, with a long smooth finish. Inhale after last sip and experience all of those flavors at once that the bottle lists. :)
