Castelli-Knight Ranch Syrah

You know it. I know it. We all know it. If you don't know it, Pax is the absolute master of Syrah, and this is his best. More peppercorn spice than I have ever seen on any wine. Let this guy breath for 5 hours. 2011 vintage is stellar.

A bit past its prime.

I’ve yet to be, but this is how I imagine the scent of a cool morning breeze in Provence. Gave this a double decant and then immediately enjoyed it.

Couldn't restrain myself from opening one of these, amazing wine from Pax as usual.

Northern Rhône ringer. Violets and olives and loveliness.
