Drinking great, captures what I often love in Santa Barbara Syrahs; CA sunshine in the fruit, generous without overbearing, balanced acids. Ripe black and blue fruit, almost liqueur-like, sweet spices, licorice whip, roasted coffee. Certainly NW in style but very well made.

A plum, some chocolate and smoked meat. Delicious.

OMG. So good! Rich and complex. Maybe too complex for my palate. Dark fruit: a plum, a blackberry. And a chocolate, a vanilla. Lots of sweet notes. It's my first syrah from California. And this is something...

Entrée course wine for the Paul Lato wine dinner at Amaya. Not sure if this was decanted or opened early. Pretty tight on first taste as expected, but let it sit for for about 15 minutes while enjoying the Suerte. Surprised how quickly it opened, showing dark fruit, pepper and savory elements. Terrific with the Osso Bucco.
