In. The. Zone. By the time I got to this, it had been in the bottle about an hour or so...poured dark purple in to the glass with a black core. Big aromas of violets, baked mixed berry pie, and some graphite/minerals. Dense without overwhelming on the palate...sweetened blue and black fruit, nutmeg and a mint-like finish (a bit reminiscent of American oak?). Awesome texture.

1hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Nose of burnt caramel and dark fruit. Almost port like. Same on the palate but refined with tea elements and subtle spice. Medium plus depth and long finish. Love Paul Hobbs and this is great, but not quite my style.

Jul 8th, 2023Merry Christmas!! This was awesome. Classic inky color I love from Paul Hobbs Cabs. Very deep and chewy wine. Tons of cassis and very fruit forward with blue and black fruit. Has that nice Napa sweetness with well integrated oak. Medium plus finish. Glad I have another one.
