Vintage 2018 | spicy and supple, good effort

Growing up on a working farm in NY, Paul experienced first-hand the influence of terroir on the character of fruit, his father had him taste apples of the same variety grown in different orchards several miles apart from one another. Spent 9 months in 11% new French oak, Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, tea and spice notes. On the palate juicy blackberry, cherry and strawberry with black tea, tar, cinnamon and citrus notes. Fine tannins, medium(+) finish, ending with fruit, spice and earthy character. Made for current consumption, drink now!

Really enjoyed this wine. I hadn’t had it in awhile since the price went up but when your local grocery store has it $10 off I’m All In!!!

Some weird carbonic effervescence stuff going on here that I did not care for.

Very tasty pinot noir. Has some slight carbonic characteristics and some notes of strawberry, oak and vanilla. Very slight tannin and incredibly smooth, clean finish. I should seek out a few more bottles.

Pretty solid effort here: definitely Pommard in style - faithful rendition, I’ve also had some PN from Willamette Valley like this. Not overdone, graceful, beautiful w/depth of flavors.

This is excellent. Light body but a lot of deep complex fruit flavors.

Another nice weekday find at Harris Teeter. Went well with lamb, and tomato and sausage pasta.
