Val de Mer Saint-Bris Sauvignon

Exotic and eccentric. Probably the most herbaceous wine I've ever tasted. Reminds me of when I was a little kid, growing up in Oklahoma, and would run around in the fields around our neighborhood. Wildflowers, tall grass, bergamot, and herbal tea, with a dry stone finish. Only for the adventurous... and I actually mean that in the roughing-it kind of way... if you don't camp or hike in the heat, then this isn't for you. There's a certain amount pain that goes along with it that you'll need to endure.

Bright, clean and focused with lingering salinity on a lasting finish. Very Sancerre like and well done for $11.
