Elegant. A bit more old world than expected. Needs lots of time and air to really show its layers. Charcoal, savory herbs, roasted meat juices. Had the tannin structure to stand up to the 50 oz Tomahawk. Very nice CdP.

A delicate, lyrical Chateauneuf, from Domaine des Chanssaud, that lingers & deepens though it's stunning right out of the bottle. Direct import to PDX, so might be rarely quaffed, but if you get the chance....
