Pascal Marchand
Bourgogne Pinot Noir
A glass at lunch. Tried a pinot from an (to me) unknown producer in Burgundy. Marchand used to be winemaker at Comtes Armand (clos des epeneaux). This wine is not extremely embracing, nice high toned red fruit but also a bit stern. Pleasure to drink. Fruit of this wine is mainly harvested in Pommard.

Dec 17th, 2015Decent Bourgogne. Seems a little flat and subdued. Nothing to rave about for a $25 wine.
