Parducci
Coro Mendocino Zinfandel Blend
Dark purple in the glass. Nose is shy at first, eventually yielding plum, pepper, and birch, all of which is echoed on the fruit-forward palate. Had to wait for it though, as it’s extremely tight on opening; something I don’t recall with previous bottles. Tannins (medium plus) are firm from the get go and only forgive a little bit with air and time. A sturdy offering fit for big steaks and pork tenderloin, but not out of place beside burgers from the grill. The tannins should withstand time outdoors. Several years left.

Oct 29th, 2017Dark purple in the glass. Plum and pepper wood on the nose. Palate of juicy plum, blueberry, and graphite; medium minus tannins and medium acidity. Should drink this one up soon. Will last a bit longer, but probably not be as interesting.

Feb 17th, 2017Deep amethyst purple in the glass; black at the core. Fruit juicy nose of plums, blueberries, and graphite. Full-bodied palate echoes the nose with plush, velvety tannins. Long finish. This is what happens when the New World puts its mind to it. Enjoy with burgers or Porterhouse steak.
