Meriame Barolo Nebbiolo

A wine to celebrate with. A deep, lusty burgundy color in the glass. Classic Barolo characteristics on the nose with raspberries, cherries, and dried figs. An entire bouquet of flowers and soft vanilla. Spice, mocha, and more than a touch of oak.
Still young and with miles to go, this is still a worthy example of the beauty of Barolo. Dense and firm throughout with tight tannins. Takes plenty of time and air to fully open up. Nice structure and balance compliments the palate. Cranberries and cloves in the mouth with leather and cigar smoke. Nice now but will better with more time.

Got it from the winery in Italy and it sat in my cellar for a few years. Really nice, approachable Nebbiolo with nice balance and slight earthiness.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary.... Purchased at the winery where we stayed after getting engaged in Italy... Dried fig, dark cherry, with uplifting eccaplyptus and menthol notes. Tilled rocky soil minerality. Serralunga strength and boldness show. Plum and dark cherry fruit lead to a chalky, mouthcoating finish which balances limestone and red fruits. Rich and delicious. In a great place right now but plenty of life left. Lots of fun memories around this bottle.

A bit rough when just opened, but after about an hour of breathing, it opens up beautifully.

Much more masculine and strong tobacco nose. Balanced tannin that still developing. Reminds me of lots of smoke
